The reporting tax

You hired PMs to deliver projects. They spend half their week writing about them.

40%

Of a PM's week

Lost to writing status updates, prepping board reports, and chasing the same numbers across boards, calls, and inboxes.

3 days

Average lag on exec data

By the time the board pack lands, the data's stale and at least one risk has already shifted. The conversation is always one week behind reality.

£60k+

Per PM, per year on admin

The salary cost of asking your most experienced delivery people to copy-paste cells into a slide deck every Friday.

The Friday scramble

One prompt replaces half a day.

Before · the way it works now

Friday afternoon, every week

⏱ ~4 hours per portfolio
  1. Open monday.com, copy status from each project board
  2. Open Asana for the cross-team project, do the same
  3. Scroll Slack and email for context the boards don't capture
  4. Pull last week's exec deck, manually update the cells
  5. Write the narrative summary from memory
  6. Send. Cross fingers it's still accurate by Monday.
After · with PM Assist

Friday afternoon, every week

⏱ ~6 minutes
  1. Open the portfolio board you already work in
  2. Hit ⌘K, type "weekly update for the exec team"
  3. PM Assist pulls live data from your boards, calls, and inbox
  4. Read the draft. Tweak the framing. Approve.
  5. Send to Slack, email, or the exec deck — one click.
  6. Get the rest of your Friday back.
How it works

Three things working together. Quietly.

PM Assist isn't another dashboard. It's a Chrome extension that lives next to the work, reads from the systems you already use, and writes the report a human would write — only faster, more consistent, and always up to date.

01

Sits next to your boards

Install the Chrome extension. It activates on monday.com, Asana, ClickUp, Jira, ProjectWorks, Linear. Same shortcut everywhere — ⌘K. No new app to log into.

02

Reads across the stack

Live project data from your board. Decisions and risks from your meeting transcripts. Context from Slack and email. Stitched together so the AI has the full picture, not just the kanban view.

03

Writes in your voice

The first draft mirrors how your PMO actually communicates — exec-grade tone, your KPI vocabulary, your risk framing. Trained on your past reports during onboarding.

What you can ask

Prompts your PMs are already typing in their heads.

Stop translating those questions into spreadsheet formulas. Just ask.

For the exec board
Weekly portfolio update for the exec team — RAG status, slips, asks
Returns
A one-page narrative with traffic-light status, top 3 slips with owners, and explicit asks of the exec team. Pulled live across every board in the portfolio.
For the CFO
Budget variance across all live projects, with explanations
Returns
A variance table grouped by project, with the AI's read on why each line is over or under — drawn from board notes, change requests, and meeting decisions.
For risk reviews
What's slipping this week and what's the recovery plan?
Returns
A ranked list of risks with the date each first appeared, current owner, last action taken, and the AI's view on whether the recovery plan is credible.
For 1:1s with delivery leads
Summary of the Auth refactor — last 14 days, in plain English
Returns
A chronological brief of what happened, who decided what, where it stands now, and what the AI thinks needs surfacing in the conversation.
For client comms
Client-facing weekly update — formal tone, no internal blockers
Returns
An email-ready update with the right level of detail for an external stakeholder. Internal noise filtered out automatically.
For Monday morning
What changed over the weekend I should know about?
Returns
A five-bullet briefing across boards, emails, and shared docs. The thing you'd ask your most-on-it PM if they were standing at your desk.
The economics

Repurpose two FTE salaries a year.

★ The Mutherboard ROI anchor

A PMO of 8 people is losing the equivalent of 3 full-time staff to reporting admin. PM Assist hands most of that capacity back — which means more delivery, fewer hires, and an exec team that's actually looking at this week's data.

This isn't a productivity tool. It's a salary line you stop spending on Friday afternoon spreadsheet work.

Annual ROI · typical 8-person PMO
Hours lost to status reporting−£64,000
Exec deck and board pack prep−£28,000
Risk surfacing delays (cost of late catches)−£36,000
Cross-tool data reconciliation time−£14,400
Reclaimed annual capacity£142,400
Indicative figures based on Mutherboard PMO benchmarks. Your audit produces a calc against your actual numbers.
Who it's for

Built for PMOs that already use a project tool well.

PM Assist amplifies a working PMO. It can't fix a broken one — and we'll tell you upfront if that's where you are.

A great fit if

You're nodding along to most of these

  • You run a PMO of 3–20 PMs (or are a senior PM doing the work of one)
  • You're on monday.com, Asana, ClickUp, Jira, or similar — and the data in it is mostly clean
  • Your PMs are spending 30%+ of the week on reporting
  • The exec team complains about late, inconsistent, or thin status reports
  • You want AI that respects your existing tools, not one that asks you to migrate
Probably not for you if

We'd rather tell you upfront

  • Your project boards are out of date or sparsely used (PM Assist needs real data to read)
  • You don't have a defined exec reporting rhythm yet
  • You want to replace your project management platform — that's a different conversation
  • You're a single PM running things in a spreadsheet (we'll point you somewhere lighter)
Pricing

Per-team, flat fee. No per-seat tax.

You're not buying licences for every PM to use it. You're buying the team the capability. Includes setup, onboarding, voice tuning, and the team that runs it.

Questions

You'll probably want to ask.

If something isn't covered, book a 15-minute call — we'd rather answer directly than have you guess.

Why a Chrome extension and not a separate app? +
Because PMs already live inside their project tool. The biggest reason reporting tools fail is that they ask people to context-switch into yet another app. PM Assist lives where the work already is — same shortcut on every platform.
How is this different from monday.com's built-in AI, or Asana Intelligence? +
Native AI features only see one platform. The reality is your PMO data lives across the board, the meeting transcript, the Slack thread, and the inbox. PM Assist reads across all of them, in your voice, with your KPI framing — which is the gap native features can't close.
Will the AI hallucinate or invent numbers? +
No invented data. Every figure cites the source — board, transcript, email — and any answer outside its confidence threshold is flagged as "ask a human" rather than guessed. We'd rather PM Assist say "I don't know" than make up a status.
How long until we're live? +
Team tier goes live in 14 days. Portfolio in 4–6 weeks. Enterprise 6–10 weeks depending on integration depth and voice tuning.
Do we own the data and the prompts? +
Yes. Your data, your prompt library, your tuned voice — all yours. AI calls run through providers with no-training data agreements. If you ever leave, you take everything with you.
What about security? +
UK-hosted, GDPR-compliant, role-based permissions, audit log on every PM Assist response. Supplier security questionnaires and DPAs handled as standard.
Why Mutherboard? +
We've been a Platinum monday.com partner and shipped PMO setups for 50+ UK businesses. We know what good PMO reporting looks like, what the exec team actually wants to read, and how to plumb AI into the tools you already use. Service is part of the price.
